Omnis Investments has named Robert Jeffree as the new chief investment officer (CIO) of the company.

Jeffree, who was the former CIO of Banque Transatlantique, will replace Toni Meadows, Investment Week has reported.

Meadows left Omnis Investments to “seek new challenges”, after serving the company for three and a half years.

Jeffree started his career at HSBC Asset Management. He then moved to the US-based management consulting firm McKinsey & Company and worked there for seven years.

Prior to becoming a CIO, he was a fund manager at New Star Asset Management.

British private bank C. Hoare & Co, founded in 1672 by Richard Hoare, first appointed Jeffree as the CIO, a role he held for close to two years.

At Eugene Pereire-founded private bank Banque Transatlantique, Jeffree served as the CIO for over three years.

Omnis Investments CEO Dominic Sheridan said: “Robert brings substantial wealth management experience to Omnis and I am delighted to have attracted an investment professional of his calibre to succeed Toni.

“Robert brings a wealth of fresh thinking and deep experience to the role and an excellent track record in driving client value.”

Jeffree added: “I am focused on taking Omnis to the next stage and building on its reputation as a fast-growing, professional and exciting company. The future development plans are compelling and a major motivation for joining at such an exciting time.”
