Swiss wealth manager Cité Gestion has named five new partners, including one from BNP Paribas’ unit in the country.

The company appointed four of its client advisors, Christian Hirt, Charles-Aymeric Hainault, Gauthier Merkli and Christoph Enz, as partners.

In addition, the company appointed Patrick Voegeli as its fifth new partner, who will join from BNP Paribas.

Voegeli worked at BNP Paribas Switzerland unit for nearly 20 years, with the last 10 years as its head of corporate and institutional clients – CIB business.

The company expects the appointment of Voegeli to further develop its business model. Also, the move will help strengthen the management team in Zurich, which formed last year via a merger with Ultra Finanz.

Cité Gestion CEO Guy Barbey said: “Patrick Voegeli’s experience, his network and his deep knowledge of the banking and business world will give valuable impetus to Cité Gestion as we expand our private clients business in the German-speaking region of Switzerland.”
