The subscription provides online access to a detailed and impartial analysis of the quarterly Platforum leaderboard, with information on user feedback, financial strength, price and functionality.

The advisers will also be able to benefit from allocated consultancy time with Platforum to help them through the process.

AXA Wealth is paying the PAT annual subscription fee for the advisers that it works with, in order to help them access the wealth of information available through Platforum.

Commenting on the move, Mark Wilkinson, head of product, AXA Wealth, said: "By including Platforum’s PAT tool as part of our proposition, we are enabling advisers to make the right decisions for their business. AXA Wealth recently announced Elevate’s new ‘what you see is what you get’ tiered post-RDR pricing structure, however we know that ‘value’ of the whole platform package is important to Elevate users and therefore wanted to assist advisers in making an unbiased choice as to what is right for them."

Holly Mackay, managing director, The Platforum, added: "We built PAT to be a helpful, independent resource for advisers trying to work out which platform to choose or adopt for each particular customer segment. We provide lots of data, information and opinion as well as support from human beings in the process. Obviously we’re commercially pleased with AXA’s decision to take out a corporate license to PAT but also think that it’s a braver and smarter way to approach due diligence than a platform trying to do it on an adviser’s behalf."
