Gordon had joined WSFS in 2007 as vice president in the commercial banking division working with middle market clients.
Before joining WSFS, he had led the private banking team at the Greenville, Delaware office for Mellon Financial Corporation and prior to that, he was a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch managing high net worth individual clients.
Commenting on the appointment, Paul Geraghty, executive vice president and chief wealth officer, said: "It means a lot to us at WSFS to promote from within and to offer career paths that allow us to ‘grow our own’ leaders. We are looking forward to Mark’s continued growth as he moves into this new role."
