UK-based financial planner Succession Wealth has relocated its headquarter to Birmingham from Plymouth as part of its expansion strategy.

Located at 60 Church Street, the new headquarter will house nearly 60 wealth planners and client support staff in addition to the senior management team of the company.

The advice firm consolidator said that it intends to develop a national training and conference centre near the new headquarter in Birmingham.

The wealth manager, which currently manages around £8.5bn in assets, currently operates through 15 regional offices and 460 staff, which includes 175 wealth planners.

Succession Wealth regional partner in Birmingham Paul Millar said: “Birmingham has grown to become a major attraction for large businesses and their employees. Its programme of infrastructure and transport improvements makes it a thriving place to do business and a logical choice for our new head office.

“We are a nationwide firm with offices all over the UK.  We wanted an HQ that reflects our standing in the UK professional financial planning sector and positions us right in the heart of the country.

“We have a clear strategy for sustainable growth and development, and I am enthusiastic about the new opportunities this move represents for the Succession Wealth.”

Succession Wealth, which is on an acquisition spree to grow business, purchased Investors Planning Associates for an undisclosed sum last month.

In June this year, the consolidator added £800m in assets to its books by purchasing six financial advisory businesses.
