Paul Patterson is to become deputy chair ultra
high net worth (UHNW) international at RBC Wealth Management
following recent changes to its senior leadership team.

The current head of global trust will be
taking over from RBC Wealth Management’s current deputy chair,
Michael Lagopoulous, who will retire on 31 October 2012.

Patterson’s key focus will be to strengthen
the Canadian bank’s existing relationships and build ties with new
UHNW clients. He has worked at RBC Wealth Management, a subsidiary
of the Royal Bank of Canada, where he took up a variety of roles
including head of the wealth division in the British Isles in
2004.

Lagopoulous, a PBI editorial board member, is
retiring after a 26-year stint with the bank.
