Of the future hires, 15 will be based in Dubai, which is the bank’s hub in the Middle East.

The three new hirees are Arjun Mittal, Akram Khattab and Ali-Reza Vahabzadeh.

Mittal will be the regional head of the firm’s non-resident Indian business, with responsibility for the Middle East and European markets. Khattab is appointed as executive director in relationship management and will be responsible for expanding the firm’s business in UAE, particularly focusing on Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

Ali-Reza Vahabzadeh is recruited as a vice president, also in relationship management. He will be responsible to expands Coutts’ business in Abu Dhabi and Qatar.

As a part of its growth strategy, Coutt is also in its advanced stages of its application for a Dubai International Financial Centre license.
