Swiss banking giant Credit Suisse has expanded options for its credit card clients adding Google Pay as an option to its mobile payment offering.

The Swiss bank said that its clients will be able to use Google Pay to make payments using both their debit and credit cards from mid-August.

Google Pay will be added to the Zurich-based bank’s international mobile and online payment offerings.

Since Google Pay was launched in the Swiss market in April 2019. It has been available for use with Credit Suisse prepaid cards issued by Swiss Bankers since then.

Beginning next month, the investment bank will offer Google Pay to its private clients with Swisscard-issued Mastercard or Visa credit card.

This makes Credit Suisse the first bank in the country to extend Google Pay payment service for the credit cardholders.
