London & Capital, a wealth and asset management firm based in London, has opened an office in Barbados to offer further support and expert services to its network of Caribbean clients and their professional advisers.

The Barbados office, which will be fully operational by the end of 2015, will be headed by Lisl Lewis as executive director for the Caribbean.

Lewis, who has over 20 years of investment experience, has held roles at Ernst & Young in London, Royal Bank of Canada, CXE International Bank, and Southwold Bank & Trust in Barbados.

She was most recently leading her own specialist consulting business in Barbados, which included corporate directorships for captive insurers, international businesses and private banks. She has also served board and senior executive roles for multiple multinational organisations throughout the region.

The company’s institutional division currently manages over $1bn in assets for captive insurers, based primarily in Barbados, Cayman and Bermuda.

London & Capital partner and head of institutional division William Dalziel said: "She is an excellent addition to our Institutional team and I am delighted to have her on board as we continue to develop our business in the region.

"This news follows the launch of our COMPASS offering earlier this year which was developed to address the investment challenges faced by captives in Europe. Lisl’s appointment will help ensure that we maintain and enhance our high standards of service in the Caribbean while we continue to grow in Europe."
