Boutique firm Bonhôte has added names to its independent asset manager (IAM) line-up.

Nicolas Bader joins Bonhôte with a federal diploma in finance and investing from the Swiss Financial Analysts Association. He holds more than 30′ years experience in the banking sector, working for BCV, Cramer & Cie, and most recently, Credit Suisse.

Bader said: “For me it’s an honour to join Banque Bonhôte and contribute my experience and skills to the business of this prestigious institution. This opportunity to join the IAM department demonstrates the importance that Bonhôte attaches to external managers operating in the Lake Geneva region and beyond.”

Oliver Christen has three decades of experience to bring to Bonhôte having worked for over 20 years at Credit Suisse, as well as firms like LGT and BPS.

He added: “I’m delighted to be joining such an admired establishment that shares my values and those of my clients. Bonhôte is a private bank where client relationships are paramount. As a midsized institution, there is plenty of room to take the initiative and work in teams, resulting in an even better service for our clients.”

The boosting of the Lausanne branch shows Bonhôte’s dedication to extending its reach through French-speaking Switzerland.

In addition, the firm believes it needs a regional presence in order to understand the specific needs of its clients, to be part of the local business landscape and operate as closely as possible to its clients.

“These new appointments mark a further step in the development of Bonhôte’s business,” explained Claude Suter, who heads the IAM team. “We’re delighted to be strengthening our department through the inclusion of two senior managers who are extremely well connected in French-speaking Switzerland. Their presence in our Lausanne branch will enable us to offer a local service to IAMs in the cantons of Vaud, Geneva and Fribourg. These hires also demonstrate the importance that Bonhôte places on the business provided by external managers.”
