The latest class is larger than the 95 partners selected in 2024, and the promotions will take effect on 1 January.

Goldman Sachs did not release demographic data for the incoming group, departing from its practice in previous appointment rounds.

According to Reuters, a Goldman executive said changes in the legal environment in recent years informed the decision not to provide the breakdown.

The executive said the firm continues to regard workforce diversity as important to its commercial success.

In 2024, Goldman Sachs reported that 26 women represented 27% of the newly appointed partners.

Hispanic executives accounted for 6% of that class, while Black executives made up 4%, the news publication said.

The partnership dates back to Goldman Sachs’s time as a private firm.

Partners contributed their own capital to support trading and investment banking activities, then shared the associated profits or losses.

Goldman Sachs was founded in 1869 and listed publicly in 1999.

Its partner group will comprise about 500 members following the latest appointments, including the firm’s senior leadership, the report noted.

An executive said that more than 100 members of the group will be female.

Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon and COO John Waldron said: “The Partner Class of 2026 reflects our commitment to elevating leaders who have distinguished themselves through their differentiated impact on our global franchise and ongoing focus on managing risk effectively, while consistently embodying our core values and actively investing in the growth and development of our people.”
