Delivery includes independent online study, trainer-led classes, workshops, and staff communities.

Training begins with basic topics such as prompting and the responsible and ethical use of AI.

It also includes advanced material on AI agents and Agentic AI. Each route contains roughly five to 10 recommended training sessions.

The PB AI Academy has been made available to approximately 3,500 Private Bank employees in international locations.

Deutsche Bank plans to extend access to more than 20,000 employees in the Private Bank over the next few months.

The bank expects to launch the Academy in Germany in the first half of 2027.

The introduction will follow consultation with employee representatives.

Deutsche Bank said the programme is intended to increase AI literacy within the Private Bank and support the use of AI in routine work.

Deutsche Bank private bank chief operating officer Yiping Li said: “AI is making information more accessible than ever. What will increasingly set us apart is how we use it: applying judgement, expertise and a deep understanding of our clients. The PB AI Academy helps our people combine these strengths with the opportunities AI creates.”

In August, Deutsche Bank’s Private Bank selected Vault Core, a cloud-based banking system built by Thought Machine, for its operations in Germany.

The system is set to become the main platform for banking and lending products in the country across personal banking and wealth management.
