Bloomberg has appointed Kerry Angel as new head of its AusBond Indexes business.

Based in Sydney, Angel will represent the Bloomberg Indexes business in Australia and New Zealand, according to Financial Standard.

In his new role, Angel will license index-linked funds/swaps, custom index services and index subscriptions to financial institutions and the index user community.

Additionally, Angel will work alongside Bloomberg’s index manager Phon Vilayoune, who has moved from Princeton to Sydney.

Angel has joined Bloomberg from UBS Australia Bond Indices, where he worked for four years and previously was in equities research.

Jeffrey Leckstein Australian head of sales Bloomberg said "We are delighted to have Kerry Angel on board as we work towards a seamless transition for clients and continue to serve the fixed income community, leveraging our heritage in bond markets and her experience with the leading bond indices in Australia."
