Janus Global Capital Group has appointed Citi to provide a complete suite of global custody and trustee services for its Dublin registered funds worth US$9 billion.

This new mandate extends Citi’s existing relationship with Janus for which Citi provides fund administration, accounting, and transfer agency services.

George Batejan, global head of technology and operations at Janus, said: "We chose to broaden our relationship with Citi because we are seeking to expand the investment opportunities for our UCITs fund into new markets.

"We are impressed with the insights and efficiencies gained through Citi’s Network 3.0 and believe it will aid us in effectively implementing strategies in the markets that afford us the most potential."

Citi’s newly launched Network 3.0 is a suite of investor service solutions that helps clients extend their reach and expand their business by leveraging its global network in over 95 countries and on-the- ground local market expertise.

Citi said that key to its Network 3.0 is the integrated custody program that enhances technical platforms and reengineers operational processes to deliver top-tier levels of service including real-time deadlines, 24-hour instruction processing and improved risk management.
