FB Wealth Management, one of the largest providers of independent financial advice in the Humber and Lincolnshire region, have reached an agreement with Brooks Macdonald Asset Management, writes Patrick Brusnahan.

The alliance offers FB Wealth’s clientele access to its bespoke and managed portfolio services. The bespoke service will offer personalised portfolios while the managed service will provide five actively managed, risk-rated portfolios which invest in a diverse range of asset classes, including ISAs, bonds, individual trusts, Self Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs) and Small Self Administered Pension Schemes (SSASs).

Brooks Macdonald will manage both of these services on a discretionary basis with FB Wealth deciding on the suitability of the portfolios and which ones to retain.

FB Wealth managing director, John Varley, said: "We wanted to offer our clients the best of both worlds; a superior investment service combined with fully independent financial planning advice."

Joint managing director of Brooks Macdonald, Andrew Shepherd, also commented: "FB Wealth have a thorough financial advisory process that feeds into robust investment process and provides clients with a first-rate wealth management solution."
