HSBC Private Banking (Monaco) has appointed Katie Danby as the CEO, replacing Gerard Cohen after 22 years at the helm, write Holly Parmenter.

Cohen shall continue to be involved with the branch as director and senior advisor to the global private banking CEO.

Peter Boyles, HSBC group managing director and CEO of global private banking, said: "Monaco is an important part of our European Private Banking operations and Katie Danby will lead its future growth."

Danby joined the firm in 1996 and has undertaken numerous roles across Europe and the Middle East. She will take up the reins in January.

Cohen shall continue to be involved with the branch as director and senior advisor to the global private banking CEO.
