Wealthtech Finantix has expanded its presence in Europe with the launch of its office in Belgrade, Serbia.
Located in proximity to the technology hub of Novi Sad and accessible from Belgrade international airport, the new facility increases its presence to 11 offices across four continents.
This expansion will enable the wealthtech to improve its ability to offer development and maintenance support to the combined clients of Finantix and InCube Group.
Finantix recently acquired InCube Group, a Zurich-based AI and data science firm for wealth management and insurance.
The deal offers Finantix access to InCube’s AI, robotic, and cognitive technologies.
Finantix co-founder and head of strategy Alessandro Tonchia said: “Opening this new nearshore office is a key component of our ongoing strategy to extend our global footprint. Following our recent acquisition of InCube Group AG, we are progressing the build-out of a network of development centres, in order to provide customers with continued access to the best global talent.
“Our new office will provide opportunities both for Serbia’s growing number of skilled industry experts to join our team, and for us to build relationships that can support its development as a technology hub.”
InCube co-founder and partner Daniel Lenz said: “Opening this new office provides a perfect opportunity to formalise our expanding presence in Serbia, and aggressively grow our locally based team of top talent.”
Earlier this month, Finantix partnered with digital consultancy firm Capita Consulting to support clients in the private banking and wealth management space.
The consultancy will serve as a Finantix certified strategic implementation partner in the UK.
