Argent Trust Company, part of wealth manager Argent Financial Group (AFG), has launched a new office in Ridgeland, Mississippi.

The new location marks the firm’s second branch in Mississippi and will cater to the Jackson metropolitan market. It is the firm’s 31st location across the nation.

At the same time, AFG also expanded its Oxford office.

AFG CEO Kyle McDonald said: “Argent Financial Group continues to build a significant and growing presence in Mississippi after entering the Oxford market some five years ago.

“The new office in the Jackson market is a natural extension of our strategy to expand our footprint in Mississippi and other Southern states and deliver relationship-focused, fiduciary services from an independent, growing firm.”

The new branch will be led by Argent Trust Company vice president and trust officer David Russell. He has been working at the company since April.
