Wealth Enhancement Group has acquired New York-based independent registered investment adviser (RIA) 10-15 Associates for an unknown sum.

Established by Deborah DeMatteo and Michael DeMatteo in 1986, 10-15 Associates currently has 16 employees, including seven financial advisors. It said to have nearly $923m in total client assets.

The firm helps families, business owners, and other professionals to protect and grow their assets, solve complex financial challenges, and retire with confidence. It provides services such as wealth preservation, wealth transfer, tax mitigation, and asset protection to the clients.

In addition to its Goshen headquarters, 10-15 Associates has additional offices in Fishkill and Tarrytown.

Wealth Enhancement Group CEO Jeff Dekko said: “As we have continued to expand our footprint across the country and in the New York / Tri-State region specifically, we have been very deliberate in identifying and partnering with exceptional advisors who bring as much to our team as our strategic growth initiatives and back office capabilities add for them and their firms.”

The acquisition strengthens Wealth Enhancement Group’s New York presence and scales up its footprint to six offices.

The company owns two additional locations in the broader Tri-State region, covering the New York City area and portions of Connecticut, northern New Jersey and Long Island.

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year.

10-15 Associates president and CEO Deborah DeMatteo said: “Wealth Enhancement Group shares our commitment to putting clients first, and I am thrilled to partner with them to drive an even better experience for the families, business owners and other professionals we serve.”

10-15 Associates chief financial officer and managing director Michael DeMatteo added: “Wealth Enhancement Group has been very successful in establishing themselves as a leading national wealth management and financial planning brand, and the platform they have developed is a great addition to our brand.”

Last month, Wealth Enhancement Group acquired New York-based hybrid RIA CJM Wealth Management.

In February this year, the company purchased Georgia-based RIA JOYN Advisors for an undisclosed sum.
