Vistra, a Hong Kong-based provider of corporate, trust and fund administration services, has agreed to acquire Radius, a US-based provider of international expansion services, from private equity firm Hg.

In addition to offices across the US, Radius also has offices in the UK, India, China, Singapore, Brazil and the Netherlands. The firm offers managed services, advisory services, an integrated cloud-based software platform called OverseasConnect, and employs 880 staff.

The deal, whose terms were not disclosed, doubles Vistra’s International Expansion Services (IES) business. Radius will be rebranded post deal completion.

As part of the deal, Radius CEO Stephen Chipman will join Vistra’s IES business in the role of group managing director.

Vistra will have 1,300 employees in its global IES team and a support network of more than 3,300 employees, across more than 70 offices and 40 jurisdictions, upon completion of the transaction.

Vistra CEO Martin Crawford said: “The Radius team has developed a highly successful global business, which is a natural fit with Vistra’s IES operations. Joining forces means our clients will have the highest quality people, technology and processes to help them grow with confidence when they are expanding internationally.”
