Tilney Bestinvest has hired Martin King of Signia Wealth as its new managing director for investment management.

King will be based in the Birmingham office to oversee a new initiative for developing the investment offering for key clients and UHNW markets and will report into chief investment officer Gareth Lewis.

Prior to his appointment at Tilney Bestinvest, King has been serving Signia Wealth as managing director and head of regions before which he spent eight years as an executive director at UBS Wealth Management, founding their Midlands office.

King, who has over 25 years of experience, has earlier worked for Kleinwort Benson Private Bank and Singer and Friedlander.

Lewis said: "Martin is a major player in the wealth management industry, with an outstanding track record of working with ultra high net worth clients."
