Besides, he helped set up the European office for Brigade Capital Management in Zurich in 2011.

At this firm, he was tasked with overseeing distressed credit investments across Europe.

Commenting on Kull, Marc Syz said: “He will contribute further to the team’s deep technical expertise in private market investments and portfolio construction, sourcing niche investment opportunities, as we continue to democratise the access and deliver the benefits of alternatives to a much broader investor universe.

“More specifically, Gian has a strong experience in structuring litigation investments, an area we’re focusing on.”

Switzerland’s Syz Group launched Syz Capital as its fourth business pillar in 2018.

The business enables private clients to invest across multiple strategies that are uncorrelated to more traditional capital markets.

Earlier this year, SYZ Capital said that it will centralise alternative investment expertise from across the SYZ Group in order to become a global centre of alternative excellence.
