Standard Chartered Private Bank has joined forces with professional development firm Fitch Learning and French business school INSEAD to create a bespoke training programme to build the sales skills and product knowledge of its global front-line employees.

The programme, designed by Fitch Learning, will combine classroom and online training to train employees and help them offer better advice to private banking clients.

High performers will be allowed to attend an executive programme designed by INSEAD that will allow them to adapt to the changing digital future of private banking, Standard Chartered said.

Standard Chartered global head of private banking and wealth management Didier von Daeniken said: “Our Private Banking Academy will deliver a forward-thinking curriculum that will equip our people to offer excellent service and relevant wealth management advice to clients in an ever-changing market environment.

“The Academy is a core part of our commitment to developing all of our employees, and we believe it will set a new industry benchmark.”

Expected to launch in May 2017, the academy will be mandatory for the bank’s all front-line staff.
