St. James’s Place Wealth Management Asia has set up a new office in Raffles Place, Singapore.

The UK-based firm said that the move is part its growth strategy to build a stronger local presence and develop its expatriate business.

The Singapore branch has more than doubled in size since establishing SJP Asia in 2014.
The new office will support growth of local advisory capabilities in accordance with its strategy, the wealth manager said.

St. James’s Place CEO David Bellamy said: “We believe St. James’s Place can play an important role in offering opportunities to develop aspiring wealth managers who want to operate at the highest levels of professionalism.”

Apart from Singapore, St. James’s Place also has operations in Shanghai as well as Hong Kong. At present, the firm manages over £79.8bn in client funds.
