State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) has appointed Marcus Miholich as the new managing director and head of capital markets for EMEA and Asia-Pacific.

Miholich joined the global SPDR unit in October 2017 and most recently managed State Street ETFs’ Nordic business development strategy.

In the new role, he will report to SPDR global head of capital markets Tim Coyne and will be based in London.

He formerly served as the managing director and head of Delta One, ETF and Cash Equity Trading at Haitong Securities.

He previously also had stints at Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan, as well as Morgan Stanley.

Commenting on the new appointment, Coyne said: “The European and Asia Pacific trading universes are fragmented and complex. Our capital markets team perform an integral role as subject matter experts on ETF trading.
