Signia Wealth has named Michael Rosenthal as its new CIO, replacing Etienne de Merlis who is leaving the firm.

Rosenthal, who joined Signia in 2013, previously held the role of head of hedge fund investments.

Before that, he served as global co-head of investment and head of the London office at Amundi Alternative Asset Management, where he managed $28bn in assets during his 11 years stint at the firm.

He previously also worked at JP Morgan Investment Management.

“I believe that we are at an interesting juncture in markets and that the investing environment is likely to become more challenging over the coming period. I am confident that with Signia Wealth’s talented team and our extensive investment experience, we will be able to add significant value for our clients across all asset classes,” Rosenthal stated.
