Seilern Investment Management names new chief

Seilern Investment Management (Seilern IM), an independent investment manager based in London, has promoted its research head Tassilo Seilern to the role of CEO.

Seilern has been working at the company for over a decade as an analyst and fund manager.

In the new role, he replaces Jean-Michel Boehm who will continue to serve as the executive director.

Boehm was appointed as the CEO in 2014.

Seilern Investment Management chair Peter Seilern said that Boehm helped the firm expand business by over seven-fold during his tenure as CEO.

Peter Seilern stated: “We are an exceptionally collegiate team at Seilern in all we do and believe, so I am delighted that Tassilo Seilern, who has led our team of analysts and fund managers, and is so ably supported by them, will be taking over the reins as CEO.

“We are pleased, too, to retain Jean-Michel’s continuing involvement as a director in the gradual handover that will take place.”

Seilern IM oversees assets of more than $2bn and focuses on serving institutional clients.

“Our investment philosophy is driven by a long-term perspective and a commitment to investing in quality growth businesses,” the firm said on its website.
