Schroders has appointed Chris Paine as a fund manager in its global income portfolio management team that manages global income funds on behalf of its clients.
Paine will strengthen the team’s research capabilities, and oversee security selection, asset allocation and portfolio construction. He will report to Aymeric Forest, head of global income, multi-asset investments.
Paine joins from Henderson where he served for more than a decade, most recently as director of research, multi-asset since 2012. He was also a member of the firm’s global policy committee.
Prior to joining Henderson in 2000, Paine served as a quantitative analyst at NPI Asset Management and before that worked at consultant William M. Mercer.
Forest said: “We have seen continued demand from investors for sustainable income, delivered by diversifying across different asset classes. As a result we are strengthening our capabilities further by continuing to invest in senior talent.”
