Schroder Real Estate has appointed Eva Granlund as its new head of Nordic investment, based in Stockholm.

Granlund will be responsible for the investment, management and growth of the firm’s Nordic platform, as well as will oversee the Schroder Nordic Real Estate Fund that manages more than EUR230m in assets in Sweden and Finland.

In addition, she will invest/manage institutional grade real estate for other Schroder Pan European strategies with Nordic investment needs.

Granlund, who has an experience of over 15 years in real estate investment across Europe, will report to head of continental European investment Tony Smedley in the new role.

She most recently served at Swedish property firm Vasakronan. Prior to that, she had stints at SEB Merchant Banking and UBS Global Asset Management.

Schroder Real Estate head of continental European investment Tony Smedley said: "We are delighted Eva has joined us as Head of Nordic Investment. The extent and depth of her experience in the region is exceptional and should ensure we continue to generate out-performance for our clients. I very much look forward to working with her in achieving our investment objectives in the region and further growing our Stockholm based business."
