Sage Private Wealth Group, an independent firm affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services, has appointed Roy Cook Jr. in the role of a financial adviser for its Chicago suburban office in Wheaton, Illinois.

Cook most recently served at BKD Wealth Advisors, where he was responsible for managing $130m in client assets.

In the new capacity, Cook will work with high net worth clients at Sage, develop asset allocation models as well as lead due diligence and maintenance for the firm’s recommended list of funds, ETFs and securities.

Cook commenced his career 20 years ago at U.S. Bank Asset Management, and also had a stint at Baker Tilly Capital in Chicago from 2006 to 2009.
