British wealth manager Rowan Dartington has appointed Adrian Clark as its new COO, replacing Ben Cooper who will now become commercial director at the firm.

Based in Bristol, Clark will oversee the overall management of the firm across England and Scotland. He will be responsible for ensuring that all business units adhere to policies on remuneration, human resources, training and customer servicing.

Clark has an experience of 32 years in the financial services industry. He most recently worked for the Welsh government within the Global Inward Investment Department and the Health & Social services areas.

Earlier, he also worked for nine years as COO of the Cardiff location at Legal & General, where he played a key role in developing the firm’s South Wales presence.

Meanwhile, as commercial director, Cooper will be mainly responsible for the non-organic expansion of the business.

Rowan Dartington executive chairman Graham Coxell said: “The business is growing steadily and we are still very much committed to developing our presence across the whole of the United Kingdom ultimately meaning more hires.

“In this context, Adrian is going to be a real asset to ensure consistency across our branches, in terms of customer servicing but also to guarantee our staff well-being and ongoing professional development.”
