Dutch asset manager Robeco has named Mark van der Kroft as head of Robeco and RobecoSAM’s trends and thematic investment capability.
Kroft will take up the new role on 1 June 2018. He most recently worked at NN Investment Partners (NNIP).
Prior to joining NNIP in March 2017, he spent 16 years at Robeco holding roles such as senior sales manager in the institutional client relations Netherlands team and CIO of equity investments.
Robeco head of investments Peter Ferket said: “We are delighted that Mark will be joining the Robeco ranks again. I’m convinced that he will take our combined Trends & Thematic Investment capability to the next level, building on his broad and deep expertise as both an investment leader and a client relations manager.”
The new trends and thematic investment team combines the trends investment team of Robeco in Rotterdam along with two thematic investing clusters of RobecoSAM in Zurich. The team includes 18 investment professionals.
