UK-based investment management firm Quilter Cheviot has hired Marshall Docherty and Nick Lumb as business development managers to its regional offices.

Docherty, who joins the firm from Aberdeen Standard Investments, will be part of the company’s Edinburgh office.

Lumb, who previously worked at Franklin Templeton, has been appointed to the new Quilter Cheviot Leeds office.

Both hires will report to Quilter Cheviot managing director Michelle Andrews and focus on developing long-term strategic relationships with financial advisers and their clients.

They will work closely with Quilter Cheviot’s investment management team and offer support around regulatory and business challenges.
