Quilter Cheviot has appointed James Rodgers as new head for its Bristol office, replacing Pamela Reid who will assume a new role as director of services development.

Rodgers will lead a team of 15 investment professionals and support staff in the Bristol office. He has been working with Quilter Cheviot from the past 15 years.

Reid will be responsible for supporting the development of Quilter Cheviot services both internally and across Old Mutual Wealth at Quilter Cheviot in her new role.

In addition, she will also help financial advisers align their suitability process and the Quilter Cheviot service. Reid will also manage the firm’s technical committee for SIPPs and offshore bonds and will lead new business initiatives.

Rodgers said: "Since establishing the Bristol office 17 years ago, Pamela has taken the team from strength to strength, developing a reputation for market-leading investment expertise.

"It is fantastic to have the opportunity to build upon this success and to grow the team further; nurturing the next generation of investment manager, while continuing to benefit from the long-standing adviser relationships established by senior members of the team."
