American law firm Proskauer Rose has said that Yong Ren has joined the firm’s private investment funds group as a partner, resident in the Beijing office.

Ren’s extensive private equity fund formation experience, representing both general and limited partners throughout Asia, will further expand the reach of Proskauer’s preeminent private investment funds practice and presence in Asia.

Ren represents clients in all aspects of private investment funds from formation to management and compliance. He joins Proskauer from Mayer Brown where his practice focused on representing private equity, hedge funds, funds of funds, venture capital, distressed opportunities, mezzanine, and real estate firms in the US, Asia and Europe.
