The nomination deadline for the 2010 PBI Global Wealth
Awards has been extended to 31 July, but time is
running out. Considered to be the most prestigious accolades in the
wealth industry for excellence and best practice, winners are due
to be announced this October.

The awards are particularly
relevant this year as the wealth industry adapts to a new
investment climate fundamentally altered by the impact of the
global financial crisis.

Larger banks have been battling to
stem the outflow of client managed assets, banking mergers and
acquisitions have continued meaning banks are reviewing what they
offer clients and how they manage relationships.

The flight to quality by concerned
clients means that medium-sized and even smaller institutions and
boutiques continue to make gains at the cost of their larger
rivals.

These tributes to the best-of-breed
players aim, above all, to be fair and objective benchmarks for the
global private banking and wealth management business as a
whole.

The awards have been created to
identify industry leaders and those individuals and organisations
that are setting new standards.

best practice institutions – those that have done the most in the
past year to advance and strengthen wealth management as an
industry.

This year we have launched a new
award, Outstanding Philanthropy Offering, designed to recognise the
increasing importance of philanthropic services to private wealth
clients.

The nomination process for
the awards is open and has been extended to 31 July
.
PBI’s worldwide readership of wealth professionals are
invited to submit nominations in the various categories.
