Northern Trust has named Peter Jordan as new head of Global Fund Services (GFS) for the Asia-Pacific region.

Based in Melbourne, Jordan will report to Peter Cherecwich, head of Global Fund Services alongside William Mak, the Singapore-based head of Northern Trust in the Asia-Pacific region.

Jordan will be replacing Camie West, who will relocate to Chicago to take over the new role as head of strategic client relationships for GFS.

In her new role, West will oversee the group responsible for large, global GFS clients and prospective clients and will also focus on linking regional relationships to form a cohesive global service model.

In March this year, Peter Jordan was named as new head of global fund services in Australia and New Zealand.

Jordan, who joined Northern Trust in 1992, most recently served as chief administration officer for Global Fund Services in London.

Previously, he also served as managing director of Northern Trust Ireland to expand the firm’s fund administration business across Europe and was also responsible for Northern Trust’s global institutional client relationships.

Cherecwich said: "Our asset manager clients operate on a global scale regardless of their country of origin. Peter and Camie’s wealth of knowledge and global industry experience will ensure we are well positioned to offer innovative solutions to meet the needs of these increasingly global clients."

Mak said: "Northern Trust has an experienced team to help reinforce our global operating model and ensure our legacy of client-centric service, integrity, and innovation."
