Nikko Asset Management has named George Carter as its new managing director for New Zealand, replacing Peter Lynn.

Carter, who has 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, was head of distribution at AMP Capital prior to joining Nikko.

Earlier he worked as a consulting actuary providing investment and superannuation advice to institutional clients in the UK and New Zealand.

Lynn will assume a newly created global role within the company as head product promotions in Singapore.

In his new role, Lynn will have global responsibility for products across a range of asset classes, including international multi-asset products.

Lynn, who joined Nikko Asset Management New Zealand in 2000, previously held role in New Zealand including head of strategy, head of quantitative analysis and head of client services.
