Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with I Squared Capital Advisors (ISQ), a US-based independent infrastructure investment fund manager.
Under the strategic partnership, MC and ISQ will work together in various areas of infrastructure investment, including deal sourcing and asset management.
Additionally, MC’S subsidiary has made a US$ 100 million commitment to ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund that invests globally in infrastructure assets.
Founded in 2012, ISQ has offices in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
The agreement will enhances MC’s initiatives including investments in major infrastructure funds and the launch of an infrastructure investment alliance with domestic and international pension funds.
Meantime, MC has partnered with its subsidiary Mitsubishi Corporation Asset Management to allow Japanese institutional investors to invest in infrastructure, where demand is strong and growing.
