British hedge fund firm Man Group has named Michelle McCloskey to the newly created role of president of Man Americas.
McCloskey, who joined the group in 2006, will be responsible for strengthening the group’s relationships with investors in the Americas.

He will work with the Americas sales team, which is led by Man Americas head Eric Burl.
“Man Group and Man FRM have grown significantly across the Americas in recent years, both organically and through strategic acquisitions, and I am delighted to announce that Michelle has been appointed President of Man Americas. She has played a leading role as the firm has expanded here and this appointment reflects our continued commitment to serving our clients and developing our business in the Americas,” Burl said.
McCloskey was appointed as a senior managing director at Man FRM and a member of Man Group’s executive committee in 2013. He assumed the role of president at Man FRM in 2015.
In addition to his new role, McCloskey will continue to sit on the group’s executive committee and be involved with Man FRM.
