Liechtensteinische Landesbank (LLB) has named Patrick Fürer as its new group COO, effective 7 January 2019.

In the new role, Fürer will oversee group IT, group operations and services, as well as group corporate development.

Besides, he will be in charge of the COO units of LLB Group subsidiaries across the globe.

Fürer will also have a seat on the group management board. The appointment is subject to regulatory nod.

Fürer joins from Notenstein La Roche Privatbank, where he held the role of CEO.

Earlier, he served at Bank Morgan Stanley (Switzerland). At this firm, he managed the expansion of the Swiss unit and the integration of the Hong Kong and Singapore branches in his capacity as COO.

He also served as the CEO of Bank Morgan Stanley, with responsibility for managing the divestiture of the Swiss operations to Bank J. Safra Sarasin. Additionally, he had a stint as the group COO at WestLB.
