Investment management firm Legg Mason has appointed Matt Stovold as its national key account manager and head of the new Sydney office.

In his new role, he will be responsible for driving retail distribution and key partner relationship management across New South Wales and Queensland, and heading the Sydney office.

Stovold will report to head of sales Beau Titchkosky. He has more than 20 years of experience in the finance industry.

Prior to joining Legg Mason, he was with UBS Wealth Management as a managing director.

Previously, he also served at JBWere Private Wealth Management as head of advice, and at Goldman Sachs JBWere as partner of the firm and the head of retail within the asset management business.
