Kames Capital has announced plan to launch Global Sustainable Equity Fund to expand its £2.3bn specialist ethical funds portfolio.
The fund will be managed by Craig Bonthron and Neil Goddin. They will be supported by the company’s head of governance and ethical research Ryan Smith.
The fund, which will be launched in Dublin before being passported to the UK and European markets, will invest in 35 to 45 stocks.
The Global Sustainable Equity Fund will focus on environmental, social and governance considerations for stock selection.
Kames Capital head of equities Stephen Adams said: "The launch of the Kames Global Sustainable Equity Fund builds on this successful franchise by leveraging our existing capabilities in this area with the expertise we have in the global equity market. By combining these two strengths we can broaden our range into the wider sustainability market."
