Kames Capital has appointed Matt Harding as investment analyst for its equity team.

Harding will be working within the North American equities team, reporting to Marcus Chandler, Kames’ head of North American equities.

As part of the role, Harding will research and make recommendations for North American companies and opportunities to Kames’ North American and global equity desks.

Harding has over 10-years industry experience and joins Kames from the restructuring team at global consultancy Zolfo Cooper, where he conducted business reviews and advised major UK lenders.

Prior to that, Harding also worked at RBS and Deloitte in corporate recovery.

Chandler said: ‘Matt joins us as an analyst on the North American Equities desk where he will be contributing to idea generation for our North American portfolios as well as our global equity mandates. As a chartered banker and chartered accountant, Matt’s analytical skills will help us identify opportunities and generate stock ideas across our various portfolios.’
