Julius Baer International, the UK-based arm of Swiss private bank Julius Baer Group, has made eight new hires to drive growth in the UK.

The new hires include Michelle White, Anthony Birkbeck, Renaud Billard, Sean Gallagher, Louise Chesters, Charlotte Thomas, Oksana Torbych, and Aziza Ramos.

White joins from RBC Wealth Management, where she worked with international HNW and UHNW clients. She previously served at Lehman Brothers.

Birkbeck most recently served at Barclays Private Bank, while Billard joins from JP Morgan’s Global Wealth Management unit. Billard formerly also worked at SG Hambros.

Gallagher spent a decade at SG Kleinwort Hambros and Barclays Wealth. Thomas most recently served at the Royal Bank of Canada and before that, had a two-year stint at HSBC Private Bank.

Torbych has spent over 10 years in the financial services sector, and will now focus on tailored wealth and investment solutions.

Julius Baer UK new roles

Chesters will focus on advising HNWIs and families primarily in the North Yorkshire region.

Ramos is an investment counsellor, with responsibility for advising HNW clients in emerging markets. Ramos previously spent 15 years at Barclays, Citibank and Credit Suisse.

Of the new hires, only Chesters will be based in Leeds. The rest will operate from London.
