The company also said that it has inducted five Senior RMs to the India franchise during the calendar year.

It recently promoted India Executive Committee member Anand Khatau to managing director.

In his new role, Anand will continue to offer investment and wealth planning solutions to Indian clients. He will also be responsible for the expansion of the firm’s global Indian business.

Julius Baer India CEO Ashish Gumashta said that the appointments underscore the firm’s focus and belief in scaling its Global India proposition to capture the untapped wealth management opportunities present amongst the Indian diaspora globally.

Commenting on the new appointments, Julius Baer India Wealth Management head Himanshu Bhagat said: “We are happy to welcome such pedigreed relationship managers to our family to widen our franchise presence in the UHNW and family office space.

He added: “We will continue focusing and strengthening our domestic team, especially in the booming markets of NCR and Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad.”
