JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has hired John Adu as the new UK head of ETF distribution and Tom Stephens as the new head of JP Morgan ETF International Capital Markets.

The pair will be based in London and will report to the firm’s head of international ETFs, Bryon Lake.

Adu, who joins from Deutsche Bank, will be responsible for building relationships with UK professional investors and delivering ETF capabilities to clients at JPMAM.

He previously also had stints at Source ETF, IlliquidX, Welbeck Consulting and Barclays Global Investors.

Stephens will be responsible for leading the firm’s capital markets group, strengthening relationships with market makers and authorised participants, and collaborating with the distribution team.

He most recently worked as head of ETF execution sales in Europe at Societe Generale, and prior to that worked at iShares.

“As we take additional steps towards building our ETF capabilities internationally to serve our clients, we’re very pleased to have Tom and John on board with us. Both are highly regarded by the broader investment community and bring a wealth of ETF experience. Their combined expertise will help to accelerate our International ETFs expansion,” Lake noted.
