Swiss private bank J Safra Sarasin has named Andy Chai as its new Asia CEO, replacing Enid Yip.

Chai has spent over two decades working in the wealth management, private equity, corporate finance and consulting space.

Andy Chai was most recently the co-CEO of wealth management for Asia Pacific at BNP Paribas.

In this role, Chai was in charge of the Greater China markets, which included mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

He shared this role with Arnaud Tellier, who managed Southeast Asia, India and international markets.

Chai stepped down from this position last year after only two months after his appointment.
