J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) CIO of global fixed income, currency and commodities Nick Gartside has departed in order to pursue other opportunities.

Gartside, who also co-managed the firm’s multi-sector fixed income offerings, will be succeeded by Iain Stealey.

Stealey will now continue to co-manage funds including the Global Strategic Bond as well as Global Bond Opportunities funds. He will be supported in this task by CIO and head of global fixed income Robert Michele.

Commenting on the latest move, JPMAM spokesperson said: “Iain, who has been with JPMAM for more than 16 years, has been named on these funds since their inception alongside Robert Michele. There will be no changes to the existing investment processes.

“Bob and Iain will continue following the firm’s team-oriented investment discipline, drawing on the global resources of JPMAM’s fixed income platform with over 280 investors.”

Gartside has been working at JPMAM since 2010. Before joining the firm, he worked at Schroders Investment Management.
