Investec Wealth & Investment (IW&I) has named Mike Marsham as the new head of its charities unit.

Marsham, who joins from BlackRock, will oversee IW&I’s bespoke portfolio management and offer strategic advice to its clients across the UK charity sector.

Marsham worked for over 10 years at BlackRock, most recently as head of family offices, charities and endowment clients. He previously also served in equity sales trading at ING Financial Markets.

IW&I head of London office Louise Hall said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Mike to IW&I and look forward to working with him.  He has achieved tremendous success in building relationships with many significant charities and his experience in opening up new markets is a perfect fit for IW&I. Under Mike’s leadership we are well placed to strengthen our position in the charities sector.”
